Corn and Egg Soup

Lately, it has been a periodic change of weather - sunny, rainy, sunny, rainy. Mostly, it's the gloomy one. But don't get me wrong. I love the bed weather. You just want to stay indoors, get cozy in your cool bed, or maybe sleep all day long. But let's make this chilly day extra warm. Why don't we make a homemade soup? Something fast and easy perhaps? What better way to ease that gloomy state than with a warm and hearty soup. Let's cook something out of simple ingredients and just within the budget. Today, I'll be making a corn and egg soup. Turmeric Fried Rice

Another healthy recipe for the family that's easy and fast. Today, I'm going to make something with Turmeric.  Yes, turmeric. And no, we're not going to make a curry. Turmeric has many benefits for the body.  It has bioactive compounds that has medicinal properties. It is a natural anti-inflammatory, as well as an antioxidant. It is also said to prevent cancer, or perhaps even cure it.  So, see, there's a lot of plus in eating this plant. So, here's my take on a recipe which uses turmeric.

French Toast with Caramelized Apples

Early morning yum. Nowadays, most individuals are growing more health conscious; watching what they eat, exercise, and some other health regimen. People are becoming more and more keen towards their outlook about health in general. For most Filipinos, like me, rice is something that is stable on the table - breakfast, lunch, dinner. But sometimes, you just want to munch on something different. Something sweet? Yes! Something healthy? Most definitely! A fast and easy alternative would be some toast and apples. I love apples! They're sweet and crunchy, plus the added nutrition, too. Who wouldn't want that? Antioxidants and dietary fibers that apples contain would be so fab to have.
